If you were tasked with populating a faraway planet and had to choose the candidates would you allow homosexuals to be part of the team irrespective of their skills? It’s known that a minimum of 160 people are required to create a viable society although more would be better. Five or six homosexuals and a few lesbians could totally bugger up your plans.
Another thought is if the Adam and Eve story was true (which I seriously doubt) what would have happened if Adam had been homosexual?

Hmm, I suspect not and I would expect each candidate would have to be vetted to make sure they’re not firing blanks.
The Adam thing? I’ve heard/read some cranky reasons why Adam & Eves offspring weren’t inbred but if Adam was batting for the other side we wouldn’t be here. I prefer the alien angle, it’s much more believable.
